Parker, CO – August 10, 2017 – The third annual Cross-Country Family Fun Festival will be hosted at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) on Saturday, August 12, welcoming families and individuals from local Parker and surrounding Denver communities to experience the excitement of Eventing, while enjoying an array of family friendly activities and attractions.
The Cross-Country Family Festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue through 3:00 p.m., offering free parking and free general admission to the public. Attendees are asked to access the Park by Bayou Gulch Road, Gate 3 (7375 Bayou Gulch Road Parker, CO 80134), where there will be ample access to nearby parking.
|The Cross-Country Family Festival at The Colorado Horse Park allows families and spectators to experience the discipline of eventing close up, as tours and course safaris will be offered throughout the day.|
The event will run in conjunction with the cross-country phase of The Colorado Horse Park’s 3-Day Event, which showcases the partnership, endurance, and athleticism of horse and rider combinations as they tackle a track of solid and natural jumping obstacles.This year’s event will feature the first ever Advanced Horse Trials at CHP, demonstrating the highest national level of eventing in North America.
Families and guests will enjoy activities including a bounce house, pony rides, face painting, petting zoo and live music throughout the day at the Cross-Country Family Fun Festival. There will also be Cross Country Safari rides offered, weather permitting, which will take guests out around the course.
A variety of food and beverage options will be available throughout the day, as a food truck court featuring a selection of healthy and cultural choices is set to accompany the day’s festivities. On-site shopping and vendor outlets will also be open throughout the day.
