Parker, CO – July 28, 2017 – The second annual Cross-Country Family Fun Festival will be hosted at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) on Saturday, August 12, welcoming families and individuals from local Parker and surrounding Denver communities to experience the excitement of three-day eventing, while enjoying an array of family-friendly activities and attractions.
The Cross-Country Family Festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue through 3:00 p.m., offering free parking and free general admission to the public. The event will run in conjunction with the cross-country phase of The Colorado Horse Park’s 3-Day Event, which showcases the partnership, endurance, and athleticism of horse and rider combinations as they tackle a track of solid and natural jumping obstacles.

Families and guests will enjoy activities and entertainment throughout the day at the Cross-Country Family Fun Festival, including golf cart safari rides, live music, a petting zoo and much more!
A variety of food and beverage options will be available throughout the day as a food truck court featuring a selection of healthy and cultural choices is set to accompany the day’s festivities. On-site shopping and vendor outlets will also be open throughout the day.

|The second eventing competition of the 2017 season at CHP will take place from August 10-13 and feature Beginner Novice through Advanced divisions, as well as a Novice & Training Level 3-Day Event.|
As one of the only eventing venues in the Rocky Mountain region, CHP will host its second eventing competition of the 2017 season, taking place from August 10-13. The event will feature a Novice and Training Level 3-Day Event, a highlight for amateur competitors in the region, alongside the first-ever Advanced trials hosted at CHP. The event will also offer Beginner Novice through Intermediate levels of competition. This year, the Advanced division champion will receive up to $10,000 in prize money, as well an invitation to ride in the 2018 Wellington Eventing Showcase, held in Wellington, FL, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in February of 2018.
The Colorado Horse Park is home to a number of equestrian events including top hunter/jumper, dressage, and Eventing competitions throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
