Parker, CO – May 17, 2017 – The highly anticipated Dressage Symposium In The Rockies (DSIR) at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) will begin this Saturday, May 20, welcoming the first day of clinics and exhibitions. The five-day educational experience will feature world-class clinicians and learning opportunities for riders and auditors in the Rocky Mountain region.
Auditing spaces are still available throughout the week’s sessions featuring top clinicians and riders including Lars Petersen, Steffen Peters, Michael Klimke, Scott Hassler, Axel Steiner, Jane Weatherwax, and Jane Savoie! Jane Weatherwax and Lars Petersen will teach on Saturday, May 20, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon. The Liberty Bridge Demonstration and several awards, including the CHP Outstanding Groom Award presented by Perfect Products will be recognized before the afternoon sessions begin at 1:00 p.m. The first day of DSIR will conclude with a special event, offering VIP-registered auditors the opportunity for a Meet & Greet with the clinicians, which will include a wine and cheese hors d’oeuvres sponsored by Gwen Ka’awaloa & Heather Petersen. The Jane Weatherwax RMDS Scholarship sponsored by Osphos® will also be presented during the evening.
The third day of clinics, Monday, May 22, will feature the second day of Axel Steiner and introduce the first day of clinic sessions with Michael Klimke. Auditors and spectators will be welcomed to the venue at 8:00 a.m. when sessions begin. Dr. Alex Emerson will host a presentation during the lunch break presented by Perfect Products ahead of the Roger Kyle Desensitization Demonstration. The CHP Outstanding Owner Award presented by Premier Equestrian will be recognized during the break as well.
Steffen Peters, Michael Klimke, Jane Savoie will continue with educational opportunities during DSIR on Tuesday, May 23, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Morning sessions will conclude at 11:30 a.m. for demonstrations and lunch. The CHP Supporter of Dressage – Association Award presented by Triple Crown will highlight the day’s lunch break. The evening will host a third VIP Meet & Greet presented by Rachel Saunders with clinician Michael Klimke. The Michael Klimke RMDS Scholarship sponsored by Osphos® will be presented during the evening.
The final day of the 2017 DSIR will feature clinic sessions with Scott Hassler, Jane Savoie, and Steffen Peters. The VIP Lunch will honor individuals, as the following awards will be presented: CHP Supporter of Dressage – Individual presented by Adequan®, and the CHP Supporter of Dressage – Corporation presented by Meg Krueger, COO of The Colorado Horse Park, and Michael Stone, President of The Colorado Horse Park.
The final afternoon sessions will conclude with instruction from Hassler and Peters, followed by a VIP Meet & Greet with Steffen Peters sponsored by Suzie Halle. The Steffen Peters RMDS Scholarship presented by Perfect Products will also be recognized and awarded following clinic sessions.
